TIGERTAILZ Prepares For First Gig Since Passing Of PEPSI TATE
October 17, 2007Reactivated UK rockers TIGERTAILZ will play their first show since the passing of bassist Pepsi Tate on Monday, October 22 at The Point in Cardiff. "It's the countdown to probably the most emotional gig and tour TIGERTAILZ have ever played," the band writes on its web site. "In light of what's happened over the last month, playing a gig almost seems frivolous, surreal, odd. But it feels so necessary, not just because it's what this band does, and what fans of the band want us to do, but also because it gives TIGERTAILZ the chance to carry on the fine legacy of one Pepsi Tate."

Pepsi Tate (real name: Hugh Justin Smith) passed away on September 18 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 42 years old.
TIGERTAILZ' new album, entitled "Thrill Pistol", came out late August via Sanctuary Records. An e-card for the CD can be accessed at this location.
"Thrill Pistol" was released as a double CD that also includes a "bonus" disc of the original WAZBONES album which was recorded in 1991 but never officially released. Tate handled all artwork for the LP.
TIGERTAILZ will support Y&T on their forthcoming U.K. trek in October/November.
